Gettting Started
During the final months of the restoration of our 1966 Tradewind we came across a 1959 Traveler that had been partially restored by another member of the forum. He had done all the hard stuff: frame repair, new subfloor and flooring, new external aluminum panels, door in door rebuild (with porthole), removal of zillion layers of paint and wallpaper off the inside end caps. He lined the inside with birch walls, built beautiful birch cabinetry and made a very cool retro aluminum refrigerator door covering. However, his family outgrew the trailer before he could finish the systems and trim work. We decided to purchase it and named the trailer Pickles which was close to the original name but also a tribute to my Mom who established the "Dill Pickle Club" with me and my daughter when she was little.
